Microporous Filter
Microporous Filter is the filtering element that remove particles, micro-organisms and other impurities from fluid stream. Normally it is made of a high precision membrane like: PP, PTFE, PVDF, PES, Nylon, etc. with pleated structure to increase its effective filtration area, or sometimes it is used as disc.
Microporous Filter, especially membrane pleated filter cartridges, are often used in water treatment, bottle water production, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical industry applications.
Removal Rating
The removal rating of a filter cartridge indicates the smallest particle which can pass through to downstream. The most common removal rating of membrane pleated filter cartridges are from 0.1 to 50 micron.
Effectiveness
Membrane pleated filter cartridges are well-suited for uniform-sized particles which can be removed if only the absolute removal rating of a filter element is correct.
Flow Rate
Membrane pleated filter cartridges with smaller removal rating have good performance in filtration, but meanwhile they have a lower flow rate. It can be a point when a filter element is selected.
